SLATT Apparel is a Black-owned clothing brand founded in May 2019, built from my own personal meaning behind the word SLATT: Show Love All The Time. For me, it’s more than a slang term — it’s an acronym that represents positivity, unity, and carrying love with you everywhere you go. My brand stands on the narrative of being “A Hood Brand With a Positive Message.” Born & raised on the South Side of Chicago and now growing out of Iowa, SLATT Apparel came from my early passion for creating—hand-painting my own clothes, customizing jeans, and shaping my style from scratch. When people started complimenting what I made, I realized this wasn’t just a hobby; it was purpose. That passion pushed me to take every step needed to turn my ideas into a real business. I built SLATT Apparel not just to make clothes, but to inspire others, chase my dreams, and do something that genuinely makes me happy.
